Team leader on two of five tasks: i) Business Development Services Researched, compiled and analyzed trade data in target markets of the EU, M. East, USA, Canada and COMESA states in Africa. Developed comprehensive and detailed reports on trade opportunities including regulatory and non-regulatory constraints, identification of policy issues, market constraints including standards, packaging, labeling, transportation issues, distribution channels and price points in the target markets, foods as well as qualifying Egyptian processed foods capabilities and capacities. Included contribution to establishing parameters for bilateral trade negotiations with the EU. Developed training programs and instructional guides as well as managing as many as twelve short term technical advisors (STTA’s) and transferring skills sets (training and technical assistance) in marketing and management to develop managerial and logistical expertise to leverage market opportunities. Instituted an Advisory Board consisting of members from the public, private and trade association sectors to advise on policy issues affecting assistance to client companies. Promoted and encouraged the development of trade associations and cooperatives in the agricultural sector to leverage resources to reduce cost of inputs, transfer information and technology more cost effectively and to create market outlets for most agricultural commodities.
