Overview :
Call for Expressions of Interest, UNDP Audit and Evaluation Advisory Committee

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the development programme of the United Nations system that is on the ground in about 170 countries and territories, with its headquarters in New York, USA.

The Independent Audit and Evaluation Advisory Committee of UNDP was established in 2006 to assist UNDP Administrator in fulfilling his/her responsibilities regarding oversight, financial management and reporting, internal audit and investigation, external audit, risk management, the evaluation and ethics functions, and systems of internal control and accountability. Link to TOR of AEAC.

The Committee is composed of members, reflecting a regional mix and gender balance, independent and external to UNDP. Members are not remunerated but shall be provided with travel and daily subsistence allowances (per diem) for attending audit committee meetings. Meetings are held three times a year at UNDP headquarters in New York. The Committee may also conduct virtual meetings when needed.

UNDP calls for expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to serve in this advisory committee.

Applicant should have relevant advanced professional qualifications and significant senior-level experience in either finance, accounting, internal audit, investigation, external audit, evaluation, ethics, risk management, information technology, internal controls and governance. A strong understanding of the structure and functioning of the United Nations system and/or other intergovernmental organizations would be desirable.

Interested applicants are invited to submit an expression of interest, including a recent and concise Curriculum Vitae through the UNDP Job Site under VA # 89840.
